Designing a wedding at the Detroit Institute of Arts is always something special. Surrounded by centuries of art, remarkable architecture, and a sense of quiet grandeur, this celebration felt both timeless and deeply personal. We were honored to bring this flower-filled vision to life alongside our dear friends at Ann Travis Events, whose thoughtful planning and impeccable eye set the tone for an unforgettable day.
Mindfully Designing a Wedding at The Detroit Institute of Arts
Our goal was to create florals that felt at home within the museum; lush, layered, and romantic, yet respectful of the iconic galleries they inhabited. Soft textures and abundant blooms were used to gently soften the space, allowing the flowers to feel like a natural extension of the art rather than competing with it. From the ceremony to the reception, every floral moment was designed to enhance the guest experience and create a seamless flow through the evening.
Ann Travis Events orchestrated the day with their signature grace, ensuring every detail felt intentional and effortless. Their collaboration made it possible to balance creativity with precision, resulting in a celebration that felt elevated, welcoming, and deeply meaningful.
The beauty of the day was captured flawlessly by Jenna Greenawalt Photography, whose images tell the story with such warmth and artistry. From intimate, quiet moments to the sweeping scenes of the celebration, her photography preserves the emotion, scale, and elegance of the day in a truly timeless way.
Choosing The Perfect Detroit Wedding Venue
This wedding was a perfect example of what can happen when inspired clients, a world-class venue, and a trusted creative team come together. Designing florals within the walls of the Detroit Institute of Arts was an absolute joy and one to remember for a lifetime.
